Case Study

This customer wanted to keep their original windows but increase the lifespan of the frames, improve draught issues and renew the glass.

We removed the cast frames and shot blasted them. We then welded in new sections where the original was too corroded to be saved. We wet galvanised the frames to help ensure protection against rust and then exposy painted them. We also added a new locking handle (which included welding on a new back plate). Finally we refitted the windows and had new genuine leaded lights made which included antique restoration glass to enhance the historic appearance of the windows.
